Best-selling novelist Stephen Booth will be giving a Crime Fiction workshop on Thursday 4th April. The award-winning crime writer is the author of eighteen books following the police careers of Derbyshire duo Ben Cooper and Diane Fry.

We’re delighted to welcome Stephen back to Fosseway Writers after a fascinating talk at Newark Library back in June 2017 on his crime writing career.

This time around Stephen will be imparting some of his well-honed knowledge and experience to our group and you can come along too! The meeting is at Knights Court, Balderton Gate, Newark at 7 pm until 9 pm with just £1 to pay to attend.

If your appetite is whetted by what you hear then you may be interested to know that Stephen is also running some full writing courses in the East Midlands. The subjects covered over six weekly sessions include character, setting and plot, as well as some of the essential technical elements of the craft which new writers often struggle with, such as controlling point of view and the use of dialogue.

We look forward to seeing you there!
