Time to get the creative juices flowing for the new decade as we launch our annual poetry competition. This time the subject is ‘Remote‘ and you can interpret that however you want.
Our judge this year (and back for a second stint) is Leanne Moden who took her solo poetry show, ‘Skip, Skip, Skip‘ to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August. In 2013 she was the Fenland Poet Laureate and on moving to Nottingham set up the Crosswords Open-Mic Poetry Night. She’s a founder member of the 28 Sonnets Later poetry collective as well as being a member of the DIY Poets. We interviewed her back in 2018 when she judged that year’s competition.
Two big changes are in place for this year’s competition: firstly, the cash prizes are bigger (£50 to the winner) and secondly, entrants can now send their poems by email as Word (.doc/.docx) or PDF (.pdf) attachments! Whoop! Aren’t we getting all 21st Century?
NB: Please see the full entry details on our competitions page and read carefully!
Deadline is 23:59 on Saturday 21st March 2020.
